I am getting ready to build a DAW system for Cubase SX3
I have been told that this will do well...so I am asking for other opinons prior to getting into it,,

Asus Av8 deluxe main board (the best, compatible with every piece of gear!)including gignet and firewire (2 Firewires).
Amd Athlon 64 X2 4400+ dual core/ 2 mb cache
Chiftech case (black), low noise fan!
Matrox P650 screen card, dual dvi/vga.
3 x Hitachi 250 gig discs, 7200 rpm, 8 mb cache.
Use a dedicated SATA disc for the audio drive.
3 discs for programs/ library/ audio! You can cut the 1st disc in half, and make a second audio drive out if you want, I did that.
PLEXTOR PX16, 16XDVD burner dual layer, black, 48 x audio burner.
Extremely solid brand!
2 gig ram (2 x 1024) That's optimum!
RME HDSP 52/96 sound card
