All preamps with mic in one side and line out on the other are compatible with the 6 line inputs. (I guess you can find exceptions if you search really hard).

Preamps with SPDIF out are compatible with the SPDIF signal. These are one or two channels.

Preamps with ADAT out are compatible with the ADAT ins on the 002. These are generally 4 or 8 channels, but you may find variations.

And while you are at it - the read the getting started manual. It is very clear about this.

Don't forget the direct outs or the subs/mains of most mixers are "line level" and work fine with the line level inputs on the 002.
