digi 003 is doing that on purpose. there is so much compition that they forgot that its an open market out there..i say don't limit your self there are a lot of options i always stick to what i know and build from there. but im a pro tools user by trade but i started on a ensoniq paris system back in 2000 i was against pro tools at first but they kept plugins and ther system constently updated and improving so all i can say is paris is not here. i guess pick the one thats going to stick around like one of the top five and you can't go worng. you will just learned on another format. its all boils down to aux, ins, outs, bus, inserts, plugins, patches, compressors, gates, ext. learnd that and the program really don't matter.
