Hi gang,

We do not talk about ear protection often enough.
So I decided to share how I make some DIY Earplugs.
It might not be the best way to do them.. but the important thing is to use them ! ;)

Now the tricky part - fitting some earphones into them for IEMs. I successfully made one pair, using a pair of Shure 215's, wrapped in clingfilm. You can then drill a small hole through the tube and superglue in the inside of a ballpoint pen tube to keep the silicone 'open', then glue in the headphone. I have some proper moulded ones but the homemade ones are actually quite comfy.

I did some in the past with a similar method but using a mold of the in-ear tip and a piece of a hanger.. but it wasn't perfect.. I guess I should have made it bigger to have a better grip on the ear-buds I was using at the time..
I now have some shure 535... I'll experiment with them when I get time... ;)
