Geez! Hertz is not they car-rental company when it comes to anything that has to do with any frequencies. Also known as "cps" or cycles per second. 20hz, being the lowest frequency you can hear and 20,000hz being the highest frequency you can hear. Your "tone control" or, "equalizer", generally have, 3 controls. Your high-frequency which generally is around 10,000 hertz. Your mid frequency at 1000 hertz. Your low-frequency at 60 hertz and all of the other exotic ones that allow you to " sweep" to any frequency or Hertz in the audio range that you want to adjust. May I recommend that you go to your library or music store and pickup a book, just ask the sales Guy.
I hope this clears some things up?

I get the impression that English is not your native language? "
I get the impression that English is not your native language? "Cut", means that you should turn down the bass control. "Boosts", means that you should turn up the bass control. " 60 hertz" means that you should adjust the bass frequency selection (provided you have a selection) to 60 cycles per second, as opposed to any other frequencies in the bass range. Overall, these expressions mean, you haven't done your homework, you've never read anything regarding audio, you've never seen an audio magazine, you've never played with a stereo system, your IQ is below 50, you've been doing too many drugs, you had too many beers, you have been masturbating too much.
