Here's your thesis. Does the state of the art recording technology make people stay awake better, listening to the music than older recording technology equipment does? How about how to achieve state-of-the-art sound with old technology equipment? How about creating a recording of a Mozart violin Concerto utilizing only samples of barking dogs? Actually I'd never want to sample that unless I had some ALPO. How about the use of time alignment on a stereo pair of microphones that cannot be placed at the same equal distance, from the source? How about a thesis and how you spent all this money for recording degree and had to go to a free website with old crusty engineers to ask about a thesis as to how valuable recording schools can be? How about the correct use of Doppler shift in operatic recordings? Or... how many engineers it might take who have degrees in the recording arts and sciences to make a good recording of a single Symphony Orchestra? I think we have the answer that one? It takes all of them.

It only takes me.
