I'm using a Line6 POD v.2 to record. I'm lining right into my input jack on my computer. If i purchased a firebox and ran the POD through that, would it sound better? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Absolutely! The SoundMAX and Sound Blaster cards that come with the computer are absolutely aweful for any kind of pro audio work. Your mixes will have less excess noise, more headroom (on both the input & output sides), and more overall clarity.

About the Firebox: I have not done a lot of research on the Firebox as I am most knowledgable of 8-bus interfaces. I will read up on it and hit you back with a response, suggestions, etc. One of the most important things to look at when buying an interface is whether or not you can expand your ins/outs as you would need in the future. Also keep in mind the compatibility of the interface with your recording software and computer. All of this can be summed up in one word: connectivity.
