Hi All,
I am currently playing with a band where we are using backing tracks live.
We have been using a Fostex D-90 Hard Disk Recording System but it is old and is starting to act up.
We are looking for HD based recorder that can play back 4 channels live.
1 - Click track for drummer
2+3 - Stereo pair for loops/backing track/synths etc.
4 - Subs and misc (if needed)
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
The SwinginChicken

Thanks to both of you for the information.
AudioGeezer - We were hoping to get something a bit more compact and cheaper than the HD24. It is also a bit overkill for what we need at the moment but thanks for the suggestion.
BobRogers - Thanks, I'll try posting the question on a few DJ forums.
If you have any other suggestions then let me know.
Thanks

The Alesis HD24 is a good box. It's 24 tracks which may be overkill. Some have reported they don't handle vibration very well. I've never had any problems with my 2. I wouldn't place them close to a sub.
You could multitrack your performances with the extra tracks if you wanted to.
