I have owned several Lexicon reverb units. But not either of the two (four) you are asking about in this post.
My units were the cheaper ones, not the PCM models.
IMO Lexicon is good stuff, and they were one of the best names in reverb units for years and years. But that was the 70's, 80's and 90's. Now adays I see Lexicon PCM models selling on ebay for WAY below "new" price.

I personally like the Eventide units over all others. There are others that are nice too
I would buy a PCM anything for my studio. I like the Lexicon products. I hear the main deal with Lexicon gear is you get that "Lexicon" sound no matter what. Not that, that is bad. But that's what I hear about the Lexicon units Vs others.

I'll echo and add to Steven's comments...

If you can, one of each AND an Eventide or two... can't go wrong IMHO.

I own the 80 and the 91 both... and LXP1, LXP15 and an MPX100. I've also got an old H949 and an H3000B as well as a Rev 7, an SDE-1000 and a Symetrix 402 Dual Line Delay.

As you can see, I'm full up with Lexicon. I love the stuff. The only thing I've had happen was my 91 took a dive from excessive ambient heat from a summer mix session in the mobile rig. Otherwise, it's pretty rock solid gear.

About the only other thing I'm really looking to get is a real Plate.

Bottom line... for effects, the 80's my first choice for drums... Brick Kick is sweet. I pretty much leave the 91 linked up for vox... good plates and chambers.
