As there was a bit of discussion recently whether peak normalizing tracks to compare different mics or recorders is bad or not, I did some testing for myself.
Before I divuldge what I did, i just post here a link to two files, called Test_01 and Test_02. One of them is just as it was recorded; the other one has been peak normalized to -1dB and then back to the same level as it was before, so two passes of normalization process are involved. Both tracks are 96/24.
Do you hear a difference?
