Hello!
I am current running my mixes on a pair of event TR6's.
Moving to a new area next week, and am blessed with a much larger control room. Will need larger monitors to satisfy my far seated clients.
Was looking at the Samson Rubicon8's with a sub.
Choice is majorly limited here.
Advise please.
Cheers!

thanks a ton Remmy!
I guess i'll go with my initial plan to spend money and get myself the ADAM P33A sometime this yr. You reckon ? Or maybe the JBL LRS6332
I like whatever JBL I've heard in the studios, and regularly work with a 4412 A as a second reference. the chances of me finding a used pair in this country is more than remote.
The new room is bout 24' deep and 13' wide. I'll be facing the deep end.
Mostly mix heavy rock.
Cheers!

I really don't think you're going to find much of a difference between a 6" monitor and a 8" monitor. Just not that big a difference. You might want to look to 10" or even 12" based studio monitors. You are asking about Midfield monitors as opposed to near Field monitors. 8 inch monitors are still near Field.
You might want to look into a used pair of Tannoy's or JBL 4310/11 or 12. Stay away from the 44xx versions because of their rotting woofer suspensions made out of foam. The older 43xx versions utilized the same stiff cardboard the rest of the cone was made from and so, no rot. You'll still want at least a 150 W per channel amplifier to drive any of those.
Bad experiences with foam suspensions
