can i record a drum kit with the help of only 1 motu's 8 pre or do i need two of them. i don't use analog compressors just digital ones. what else do i need if drums can't be recorded alone with this device.
are the drivers stable with Sonar 6 producer edition.

How many mics will you be using on the drums? The 8pre has 8 inputs with pre-amps. As long as that gives enough inputs for all of the mics you will be using, I can't see why there would be a problem.
