Hi All, I am an aspiring songwriter and would like to incorparate some drums within my songs. I am using Pro Tools SE with M-Audio Fast Track. Please give me an idea of something I can buy in the ball park of $100-$150 to start creating some drum beats.

I need to be able to connect it to my PC so it is recordable within pro tools. I guess that would mean MIDI capable, correct (sorry, As you can see I am novice at this, please bare with me)

I heard of the ALESIS SR-16, would you say this is something that may work for me? Also, would it make sense to get one of those MIDI capable keyboards instead of a dedicated drum machine?
