Hi all,
I'd like to upgrade my usb soundcard from a M-Audio Audiophile USB to something that allows me record more tracks at once.
I like that my audiophile doesn't have built-in preamps as I use external preamps, but I can't see anything out there without preamps.
I can only record two tracks at once right now, but I'd like to be able to record three or four at once.
Any advice?
Thanks.

From own experience I can recommend the RME stuff.
Any of my 6 pieces of RME gear are still working flawless, even after 12 years.
Drivers are rock-solid and the sound is great.
Not too cheap, but a lot of bang for the buck and very versatile.
If portability is an issue, look at Multiface or BabyFace...
