Hi.
The computer parts are slowly arriving.
Got a few questions I'd like an answer to before I start assembling my "Eskimo DAW".
Here goes:
-Do you think I'll be needing any extra fans in my chieftec case?
-I've got the WD 120/8 and a seagate barracuda drive, do they need airspace around them(or even a fan) or may they be placed "slot-to-slot"?
-OS HD on primary master, CD-RW on primary slave and Audio HD on Secondary master. RIGHT?
-Does it matter which slot I put my Delta1010 in?
-Can I buy you a beer?
CHEERS!

ok...If you have a PSU with dual fans on it..one on the inside and one on the outside AND the CPU fan it will be fine. If you compact the case to the point where there is no air flow capable of cooling everything down then yes. If there is plenty of airspace to begin with...then no. Typically yes you will want a smaller fan in the front of the case to help push cool air to the back by the cpu to help with a constant fresh flow of air.
Get yourself an Enermax fan to help with that. Those are quiet and very efficient.
Hard drives can be placed anywhere and on top of each other around each other or whatever you so desire. What I usually do is get a removable drive bay carrier system for my audio data drive so that ONE: it keeps the drive cool due to the internal fan TWO: it can be swapped out for another drive!!!
Yes, OS as master, CDR slave to that
Audio data as Master
Beer? Well...If you can find me Three Horses, I think that's the name of it. You can buy me that beer!!!!
