I posted before about some feedback issues and got some help so here we go again. I play in a two guitar acoustic duo and use the following:
Yamaha 2x400 watt powered mixer
2 fender wedge monitors(individual volume controls)
2-15 inch passive spekers. we play a taylor guitar(expression system) and a martin with both a bridge pickup and an internal mic. these are run through the PA. I blew one of the main speakers the other night while paying a gig(wonderful, I know). I want to get two new speakers and was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what I should be looking at. I play mostly in bars but also the occasional festival or hall. The FOH speakers I was using are HEAVY(68 pounds)and I would like to cut this weight down. I'm not sure if I should be looking at 15's or 14's. I've been looking at JBL EON and Mackie but would appreciate any advice.
Thank you,
Matty

The active Mackies and JBLs are nice. I would usually reccomend

I would usually reccomend the SRMs to 99% of people. But for 2 x acoustic duo, the EONs might be real nice. I have extensive experience with both .. the JBLs dont reproduce the highs quite as well, but for an acoustic, depending on its sound, it could have a good pseudo-compression sound.
Or get one of those Bose systems and never worry about monitors (and therefore feedback) again...
