Alright. I am wondering how I would go about setting up a compressor so I can use it while recording and after recording. The setup that I will have is a Soundcraft FX8 Mixer, dbx 166XL Compressor, Maya1010 souncard, and Cool Edit Pro 2.0. And what if I wanted to add an enhancer in my setup? I know we should use compression AFTER recording but sometimes, vocalists will go from singing very low to screaming. Thanks a lot for the help!
