Yeah I have the TonePort but I'm hearing pops and clicks so I'm thinking of sending it back. USB interrupt issues. I raised the buffer slider and it helped a little but not entirely. I was wondering though about those hard disk recorders, like the Tascam ones. If I was to pick one of those up, would or should I still pick up a set of active reference monitors, or will my computer speakers be sufficient? I don't know how I would plugin the active monitors though to the hard disk recorder, unless the hard disk recorder has got some kind of speaker or analog outputs.

And when I'm done recording, do I just hook up a USB cable and transfer my recording to my PC's hard drive? From there, then can I work with it using a sequencing program like Sonar Home Studio or something?
