I found a good deal at MF online for a fostex package that includes a 16 track digital recorder, powered studio monitors and the like, I was wondering if I could get a PA set up usig the 16 track as the mixer and maybe buying some powerful Mackie or JBL powered 15' speakers. (I wonder if i could add effects live) Does anyone see a problem with this setup, or maybe a suggestion on how to do it properly. If not I found a Yamaha PA package that includes 4 mikes, a power mixer and 2 speakers, 15' bass, and some cables for the same price as the recording package w/o the big power speakers. But to kill two birds with one stone would be great. If not I can always multitrack on my computer for a little longer!
