Well i wanted a bigger monitor so i could see my app. better and i got a Sony brevia 32"
My computer has an ATI excaliber video card with DVI out.
So i got a DVI to HDMI adapter and it works fine.

The problem is that i like it set to 1920x1080 res.so i set it there, apply it and when i reboot my computer, it goes to 1366x768 which is to big.
I tried all other resolutions but when i reboot, my computer doesn't hold the setting, it goes right back to 1366x768.I've gone through all the settings in the video card and the monitor...i think.

This video card is a good one but its 5 years old..Do i need to buy a more current video card?
I can return the monitor but Id like to solve this cause the big display looks great.
Anyone ever experienced this issue..
Thanks for reading.

Next to Lapghroaig, there is nothing finer than an excellent malted beverage. And I don't mean Schlitz or Colt 45.

Okay. Now we're talking Granville Island Maple Cream Ale. There's no Maple in it and there ain't no creme either. No sugar added. Just a smooth beer with a creamy head. Getting thirsty.

Lapghroaig,

John, sounds like we are on the same path to justice and relaxation ! In BC all we can get is quarter cast lately. Someone is tapping into our reserves here. So, 18 year old is the only alternative to smoothness. Damn I miss the smokey peat. Look at all the Canadians jumping in here. We need to get together and throw a party! Meet half way at some campsite that allows campfires, has a good lake for fishing and parrrty!... sounds like a blast to me. I got the boat, just need some friends :)

My one PC is slow to resolve images with my 32 in LCD. Is this the same settings needed?

It could have to do with the refresh rate. Often that does not optimize on big screens. Another thing is if this is an HD monitor to double check your bios to make sure HD/high resolution is enabled.

Nice boat! We should start an annual or every other year RO retreat! Of course the best time of year to have it, I'm tied down at my summer business.
