definitely not the only, they had a group buy and they sold over 6000 copies which i couldn't believe , it just doesn't suite me at all for some reason. My tastes/ needs are different my current favs are cobalt , ultra analog and xils 3 , zebra cm and tal electro

I don't know anything about midi or synths but that is bad! It makes me want to get a book, a keyboard/midi controller and Alchemy!!! Can you use this program on guitars basses and drums to synth the sounds to create cool effects in the mix? This has really got the brain going...

Well, well well, I finally broke down and bought Alchemy. Now all I need is a new job so I can afford a newer computer thats fast enough to use more than a couple of tracks with it.

Anyway, I've been really busy with fixing up the house and hoping to get to the Studio Remodel someday soon! Lots of new plans with some more great old gear!

Alchemy is great: good choice!

I just bought a 500 gig Hitachi Travelstar that recently failed. I was in the process of finishing installation of all my plugs+software. It's very frustrating, it also shows that you really never know when a hard drive failure will occur, therefore backup at all stages is now recommended.

A note to those whom may not know, be sure that your new replacement drive has a OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) Warranty, otherwise you may be suckered into buying a drive that is not new like I did.

So I'm back to the 80gig factory drive, waiting for my replacement drive to arrive.

I will have to install my newer software all over again, urggh!

I had a hard drive fail earlier this year. I did not have the warranty information. It was probably one of my biggest disappointments of 2010. I broke down and bought a new one, which cost me a pretty penny. ALWAYS SAVE YOUR WARRANTY INFORMATION!
