How do dancehall artist get there voice so heavy and dark on there tracks.

It must be a plugin , because when u here them live. They sound heavy but not that low on tracks.

Can someone help me out?

It could just be a combination of the microphone itself and the placement of the microphone.

It sounds doubled an octave lower during the verse. That's it...
