I've finally had time to study the forum promotion tier tree.

notice a visual banner is located under your username.
guest, valued member, well-known member banner rank are the current names.

We can rename these. Its not easy choosing these titles. I'm open to name suggestion?
--

How does this tier system effect you and how do you get promoted?

As an example, a new member without any posts has some security permissions disabled. This keeps the spammer from registering and leaving their exploits in the images directory.

After a few posts, once we've qualified a real pro audio person, they are bumped up to "valued member" and so it goes...
This promotion are recognition can be visually indicated by a banner seen below or around a profile depending on what area of the forum we are surfing.

After 1000 posts (or what I choose) a members is bumped up to a new title (currently) "well-known member" and so on.

Again,
What names do you suggest?

Choosing these names aren't easy. They should mean something special but not make others feel less valuable.
Some might suggest we bypass the visual banners so we all appear equal but that means I can't use that option for Studio Services banners and/or other resources we are now adding as a business service now.

Make sense?

So, I'm stopping at this point to ask for members suggestions.
I was thinking members who have put more time contributing should have some sort of visual reward tier. What do you think?

Without going on, do you like the names I've chosen or what names would you choose for this banner tier system.

Truthfully, I hadn't really even noticed them before. Until you mentioned it, at which point I couldn't understand why I wasn't holding the rank of "Almighty General". LOLOL..

Seriously, I guess it might matter to new people who show up looking for answers; but in the end, the satisfaction is in the willingness to help, and to educate, when possible, those that are looking for it....and not just a "title" earned simply by hanging around long enough to earn it. LOL
