Does anyone remember the song "Wicked Garden" by STP? Right before the chorus there is a wave of sound to bring it in. seems like an effect to a vocal. I am mixing a song right now and the vocalist wants something similar. I have never toyed with this sort of thing... anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I have an EvantideH3000 and a few Lexicon fx processors...if that helps.

Hi,
you could try this :
reverse the first word, apply a long tail reverb, reverse back to normal.

I can't remember the exact sound.....but you could get him to do

I can't remember the exact sound.....but you could get him to do a scream and then do the reverse on it. Then when you mix you bring the fader in on the last beat or two.
