ok this might be a long post here.. But I want your opinions..
Im thinking about mixing all otb. track everything to Nuendo.
send all tracks back to the Ramsa add comps, gates eq and effects then
two track with stereo comp and eq back into nuendo for final stereo track..
How ever most of my projects are 15 to 16 tracks.. Therefore I would need
8 more AD/DA conversions. hence another RME..
1. How do it connect another RME to the system ?Lightpipe? SPDIF? another card?
RME multiface Hammerfall is what I am currently using

I think this is the best way to go. This is what I've been doing for years with the exception of the master bus compression and EQ you are suggesting, but to each there own. The only ting you have to be careful of is raising your noise floor by going through an older desk.
I'm running a Fireface with a Tango 8 channel breakout for 16 i/o. I would just add an additional breakeout via Lightpipe for more outputs.
