Voice effect California Love

What is the voice effect on the singing in California love?

It sounds like there's auto-tune on there, but something else also. It sounds like there's synthesized bends on it.

any ideas?

It's either a vocoder or Heil Talk Box. It's definitely not Auto

it is not a vocoder. it is a DX100 with a talkbox. that's what roger troutman used in that song. vocoder is different from talkbox. =) you can search it in youtube. im a talkboxer =)
