Greets all,

Has anyone tried the Wizooverb W2 reverb plugin ?

They dont provide a working demo, only audio files. Still, it sounds pretty good for a software reverb.

I'm sick of using Waves Trueverb but havent found anything that can deliver comparably decent reverb to CPU overhead.

Cheers

I've been very curious about the wizooverb w2 as well. It supposedly can do everything from completely synthetic to full on convo...honestly sounds as good as any of the others in their samples....but the simple control aspects are what really have me interested. No demo though...so I've just been waiting to hear what other's think about it for a few months now...

Well, well ... Wizoo has a working demo of W2 online now!! D'L it from their website.

I tried it out and I must say - its really quite good.

Seems like a slightly more efficient IR1 (waves convolution reverb), you can import impulse responses but it also functions without.

Maybe it's time to consider DSP processing ala powercore or UAD-1?

I have the UAD-1 card. Love their compressors, but can't stand their reverbs ... except for the new Plate which is stellar. That Plate is untouchable, IMO.

Unfortunately, it uses so much of the DSP card resources that it would require another card just to run 2 instances (at 24b/48khz).

$800 for the card, 150 for the plug = same price as a nice new lexicon dual stereo hardware processor...
