Hello everybody. Long time lurker, this is my first post. Wonderful forum.

So I'm looking into racking a few modules to ultimately achieve a sort of a channel strip combination. 2xEQ / 2xComp / Peak meter for example. The point is to mostly run line lever material thought them, i.e from my DAW during mixing or from synths and samplers during tracking.

does m-audio fasttrack act as a power supply for a Microphone?

SIZE=2 Hi. I just purchased a zero dac from china with the intention of doing the frakenzero dac modification.

Unfortunatly a friend has offered me his edirol ua-25 dac for £50 as he is upgrading.

Which dac do you think i should go with.

I can't google up any information on the edirol, probably because it is an old model.

I have a Fostex 2412 mixer (EU version) at home, and it is missing its power supply. I have searched over the web but nothing really comes up. Does any one know of a replacement or have one lying around they are not using?

Hi Guys, I'm new to these forums and trying to think outside the box and any suggestions would be appreciated. I own a car audio shop in Sydney Australia and compete in DB Drag Racing SPL competition. I know this is not the correct forum but your knowledge of sound pressure behavior is maybe at a higher level or different than in the car audio industry.

After nearly 10 years away from it, I am about to embark again on digitally mastering historical audio from cassette then reel-to-reel tape. Back then, I simply cleaned the heads frequently. But I now note that the original Sony manuals for both my major "near-pro" consumer cassette and reel-to-reel decks talks about frequent demagnetizing.

Another first for me here.

I have 100 ft run to the piano. Using Mojave MA100's SP for the first time. They come with its own PS. The micpre's have 48v too. Do I use one or the other or both in a long run or longer runs? Do you ever need to use both to ramp anything up lada lada lada?

I read up on pads of various kinds, and I want to design a single channel variable pad for use between a microphone and the preamp when recording drums. The preamp in question is the channel preamp of the RME Fireface 800, which has an input impedance of 2k. Here is what I want to do. I will build an external enclosure with XLR in and out mounted to it.
