Safe/Non-Toxic Sound Absorption / Acoustic Treatment

Looking to acoustic treat my room. I want to get safe, non toxic acoustic treatment that still has good sound absorption. Looking for the material wise, since different pieces would be used for different frequencies. Want it safe to breath (even if not covered by fabric), also safe in case my dog accidently chews and swallows some. Also safe to handle.

What's that on the wall at Abbey Road?

For reference:
Abbey Road - Studio - Studio Two

I see sheets or curtains hanging, and I see monster gobos. In the other Abbey Road studios, I see the strange panels on the wall that bulge out like pyramids or something. What are these things and what do they do? How do they work? Forgive me if I'm just not seeing the obvious.

Build it Like the Pros - Up to Date?

Hi Guys..
I'm about to embark on building a studio in my garage - a tracking room and a control room. I'll be going for the room within a room method.

I'm using the the good book by our man Mr Gervais currently, is that book up to date with recent methods? I see the book was published in the mid 00's.

Cheers.
