Hi guys and gals,

I have a music track and want to record vox to it so that immediately after recording, when the Playback button is pressed, there's only a vocal track played. What I want to hear in that playback is vocal track already mixed with music. I have WaveLab installed, but not sure if it can provide us with such a thing.

Alright, I know how to record and stuff like that... cept... I don't know how to make it sound good... and produced.

Heres what I used:

Adobe Audition 2
A sh*tty Casio Keyboard (for the drums and piano.. didnt even use midi)
A Mackie 406m powered mixer running into my Audigy 2 ZS soundcard
Audix Om2 mics

I have been using Sound Forge for some years. I have tapes and otherwise analog recordings of audio I record onto my computer as WAV files by plugging the tape player (or otherwise) into the computer's line in jack.

For Windows DAW install...>

I notice that some Plugins can install both DX and VST version of the same plugin .
Which version is "better" to use for recording, and for mixing?
Better=less system resource intensive, memory CPU, etc...
Do I need both versions?

Hi All, I'm new, great board

I'm thinking of upgrading to a somewhat more powerful DAW.
I work with heavy VSTi's and Cubase SX3 which supports dual core if I'm correct.

Here's what I had in mind:

This is the problem I am having..I record my vocals, then use automation to even the volumes of the soundbites relative to each other... then I realize that the volume of the entire track needs to be changed... so then I am stuck with doing the the automation over again... I know this is a very rookie problem I am having and there is a easy fix to it.

Has anyone been succesful syncing 3 Firepods together.I get them to sync for about 6 minutes then they unlock.PreSonus has been trying to be helpful but no luck.I just bought a new laptop thinking that may be the problem but it does the same thing as on my old laptop.Any help will be appreciated.
