Greetings, anyone directly A/B'd the Smart C1 to the C2? I know the C2 has "crush" and sidechains, but how 'bout when they are set up identically with the same ratios and thresholds, etc? The C2 is $500 more- I have heard that some prefer the C1 over the C2.

Is this compressor OK for world beat music and clean recordings like piano? I know it can do rock, but what about jazz, etc?
I guess I am asking if it is versatile enough?

I am auditioning an Alan Smart C1. I like it a lot, and I am wondering about the C2. Is the C2 an "updated" C1, or are the two completely different units? I don't want to go with the C1 if the C2 "blows it away" in some fashion. Any help out there? Thanks
