Until now I've been recording my kick drum with either a sm58 or sm57 but with the need of some serious eq. Therefor I'm going to invest in a kick-drum mic, but which one?

E602?
D112?
Shure BETA 52a?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated...

I have an AKG D112, and have an opportunity to pick up a used D12 that is in great shape for a good price. I have heard some people swear by the D12 over the D112, but can't remember why they preferred one over the other. :d:

Does anyone have any experience with both of these mics that can give me a quick comparison?

Hey folks,
Just found a good deal on these mics on ebay and thought I would share the information. The guy has 6 to sell and is selling them new for $130 plus shipping (around $9). Sounds like a too good to be true deal (hope it's legit). I just ordered one and thought that you guys might be interested.
