I'm fairly new to PG and I bought them during the sale over Christmas. Usually doing a copy of the folders (documents etc) will back everything up but will it also back up any Matched amps/cabinets that I downloaded from the cloud? I asked on the PG forums but got nothing after 8 days and 75 views.
So it finally happened. I just lost my bands first two CDs of music in the form of the original Cubase multi-tracks.
I can reconstruct them, and I will.
I need advice on a small backup system so that this can't happen again. I can't spend a thousand dollars on a nice box. Something more ghetto, but functional, would do.

With all my data being scattered around between phones and hard drives and aging formats, I've decided to consolidate all my data in form a more professional way to back up my documents and data.
My two concerns are accessibility and future compatibility, as well as scalability.
The objective:
The 1 month old APC backup unit employed on my studio failed twice today, once last week. Yes there are shoddy power issues in the building. We have multiple breakers in our sub-board but haven't popped. These issues are for the electrician.
I've been using Nero Express for burning CDs from my DAW (I use PT).
Hi all, I'm using acronis true image and am wondering if programs such as this one and norton ghost, which use compression for their backups can be at all detrimental to the audio quality contained in the backups. thank you.
