Really Need B&W Monitors for Mastering?
Besides room acoustic, do we really need a B&W for Mastering reference? Or... a KRK 2.1 system will do? Perhaps, a Stereo pair does it job?

Hi Guys,
So I bought some B&W DM303 to use as nearfield monitors which I would like to plug into my Apogee Duet Interface. However the wire I have for them has no kind of adapter which I can manipulate to fit into the Apogee. Its just frayed wires on each end which can clamp into the speakers.
Dear forum usres,
I plan to change my monitors in few months, and I would need your advices or your experiences about some models that seem great for the work I do.
I'm a recording and mixing engineer, and I mainly work on classical music and jazz.
I'm looking for monitors with relative flat response, good dynamic.
I've been mixing with B&W DM 14 speakers on my home stereo. Will I hear more detail with near field monitors?
I just want to know if i can get decent results mixing with these monitors. I know they are not studio monitors but they are very good speakers. Anyone has any experience with these? are they flat? thanks for your help
Hello
I'm wondering if anyone has used B&W 805s for tracking and mixing? Because these are HiFi loudspeakers, will mixes translate well? Has anyone used any of the Nautilus series with good results?
Thanks
Scott
I am wondering what are the diff. between them. I know they look different but sonically, do they sound similar? Micheal, I think you are using a pair of 802, is that correct? Please let me know what's your opinion of the 802.
I just found a pair of 802 series 3 in a great condition. Looking into buying. The guy is asking for about US$1,800.
