I just bought one of these and cant get it to work.

There are LEDs on the front of this unit for each analoge channel that are supposed to light up when there

is an audio signal present (from mic or line) but they don't

light up at all. Would they light up reguardless of the optical cables being attached?

Crappy converters and the ADA8000.

Ok guys. in a pinch I bought a Behringer ADA8000 today just to have some extra ins until I can afford a nice piece of gear. (I'll use it for a year if it lasts that long). Basically I'm going to be using it for a control room mic, possibly as an A/D when I get better pres, and extra channels for scratch guitar/bass tracks while tracking drums. My question is. .using only your ears.

Hi, id like to know what people think of the Behringer ada8000. and also i only have a laptop, so what i plan on doing is buying a soundblaster extigy which is an external sound card that has optical inputs and outputs. I'm going to be using it with Pro Tools. anyways the extigy is usb powered, is that a problem? and will the set up work? anyways. thanks in advanced.
