Buzzing on a Guitar String When I Tune Down

Submitted by rbf738 on Wed, 02/10/2010 - 08:10

I have a Epiphone Les Paul Standard and have to tune down a full step for one song and noticed that the B string buzzes when I bring it down to the A. The D string did as well but quickly and inexplicably corrected itself so I figured maybe I could make that happen to the B, as well. Any suggestions besides "don't tune down a full step"? Thanks guys.

Peculiar buzzing/clipping on recorded guitar track

I am Micing a Fender Blues Jr. with an SM58 that's hooked into a PreSonus Studio Channel Preamp. This is output into my MOTU Ultralite mk3 which is hooked via firewire to my PC and recorded via Cubase 5 in Windows 7 64-bit. The VU meter on my pre-amp does not indicate any clipping not does the input level within cubase. The waveform does not appear to have any clipping either.

Buzzing power conditioner...Can it be fixed?

I've got a power conditioner and it conditions the power perfectly well. The problem I have is that it buzzes like a bee in a flower garden. This isn't 60 cycle hum...the unit is actually buzzing. I can't record with it on. It's just too loud. Not ridiculously lound, just loud enough to be annoying.

unignorable buzzing in headphones using new Tascam multi

I purchased a Tascam DP-02fx/CD 8 track recorder yesterday, this is my first home recording purchase. I plugged my strat and headphones in and immediately had an annoying buzz constantly through both headphones, it's definitely not the guitar. Also when switching from mono to stereo I only get sound in the left headphone, i'm doubting that thats normal but I am a newbie at this.
