I am in the process of assembling my home studio around the Mackie ONYX 1640i firewire integrated mixer. I'm have a rack mounted kick ass PC assembled right now, running WIN 7 Pro, PT 10, and installing the Universal Audio UAD 2 - DUO PCIe card for plugins. I'm pretty stoked to get it all together.

I have to record a clarinet. does anyone of you know any tips for mic placement and types of microphones (dynamic or condenser)?

Hi all, I'm new here so it may be that this question has been dealt with previously but I hope that you can help out with it.

i'm trying to make a desicion between good guitar amplifiers.i'm thinking of a music mann dual 12" i have tried one and prefer the tone over the fender twin.was wondering what the general concencus was regarding this particular brand of amplifier and its reputation.
