I've been having troubles setting an SM57 mic on my Mac for recording vocals.
The current setup is:
Shure SM57 --> XLR --> Cloudfilter CL-1 --> XLR --> behinger U-Phoria --> (well USB) --> Mac (connected to power).
*Using Ableton Live (and Pod Farm).

Hey guys, just posting on this forum as I've been having a bit of trouble recording with the Blue Yeti mic that I just got a week ago from amazon.
I do gameplay commentaries and I wanted to step up my game by buying this mice as I only had the Turtlebeach PX21's for recording my voice.

I do however return with a question about distorted guitars.
Now then..
The clean, non-noise portion of a signal. It represents the "pure sound" you would hear if you could eliminate all electronic hiss.
I hope that this forum can clear up a few questions I have before I drop a few hundred bucks on some stuff I don't need, but based on other threads, I think you guys can help.
Recently, I have been getting into digital mixing/recording, but I want to step up my game to get "studio" quality sound.
Connected my new preamp to Alesis Multimix 16 USB but still getting a lot of hiss.I need a hiss-free recording?
I'm using an AT-2020 mic for vocals, and a Behringer AUTOCOM PRO MDX 1400, should i be using the Behringer or is there somthin else i can use to get the vocals clear and remove the hissing sounds from the microphone. someone recommended the ART tube preamp, but i dont want to buy the wrong piece. .
