Recording Choir and Organ in a Church
I've got a recording to do in a church on Saturday - it's a public event, and I'm going to record it for them. Not a church I have been to before, so I'm going to put up a heavy duty stand centre and am thinking maybe a chance to try out some more microphone experiments.

How to record a brass band in a church
I would like to record a local brass band in our village church . This building has some challenging acoustics .( reverb) What would be the best approach? Condenser mics, dynamic mics, ORTF, MS etc...I'm by far not an experienced soundguy but for me this is just a hobby.

Church recording challenge
I've been handling the care and feeding of the church sound reinforcement system for a while now and doubling as the roadie for our traveling singers. FWIW, the church PA is a garden variety TOA mixer/amp in a rack with Shure SM58 wireless mics, wired podium mics on the pulpit and and lectern, and a Tascam tape deck. We've been distributing and posting podcasts of the sermon.

Need help with church recording setup.
Ok folks, I need some help choosing a setup for recording church sermons and ultimately placing them on our website.
Here is the set up I have going now:
I use an Olympus DS-2 portable recorder with the line-in coming from the PA system, it records at 64kbps WMA.

Church Recording - Cheap Mics - Distorted Signal - HELP !
Newly drafted “sound guy” in Southern California needs help with Live Sound / DAW Recording in a church setting. I am computer GURU - however I am a new recruit at sound - but have had my eyes "open" - learning...
