Need help with DA converters
Forums
I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a good/great DA converter which will be significantly better than the one I have in my O1v. It's something about it that doesn't excite me too well. As far as price goes, I'm willing to spend no more than $1500 unless it won't become extinct anytime soon(1-2 yrs). Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Sonorus Converters?
Forums
Anyone have experience with the Sonorus converters, like their 4 channel half rack units? Do these compare to the LUCID/APOGEE/RME camp or are they in the minor leagues in terms of sound quality. Thank you.

Echo Layla24 Converters
Forums
Hi everyone,
I've recently purchased a Layla24 after returning my MOTU828. I was wondering if anyone familiar with these two products could let me know how the converters in my Layla stack up to the rest of the crowd of digital break out boxes. Thanks!

My choices are
1:RME not sure which 48 or 96k
2: Swissonic
3 MAYBE lucid but I dont think my partner will spring for them
also I am thinking about getting a Lucid clock

1/2 rack A/D converters from Swissonic & PreSonus
Forums
Have anyone heard those units? The one from Swissonic has 115db dynamic range and the one from PreSonus is 110db. The Swissonic ones goes for 24/48 and the PreSonus goes 24/96, both around $700... what do you guys think?
828 or 896 as standalone converters.
Forums
Hello there! Does anyone knows if the 828 or the 896 will work as a standalone converter? If you just plug it's outputs (lightpipe) into a digi001 turn it on, will it send a signal out? Or evenif you run DP on the background... I don't know, I'm just curious!

How good are the converters in the Layla 20
Forums
Greetings:
I have a couple of questions and from the few posts I have read I am sure I will get some assistance here.
How good are the converters in the Layla 20? Ate they as good as th ones in the Yam aw4416? I know that one is 20 bite 128 x oversampled and the other 24 bits 64 x oversampled. Does the oversampled spec make a major difference...

Digital converters prizing factor
Forums
I'd like to know what is the determining factor on the higher cost that some converters have, related to others. As far as I know, the electronics involved are pretty the same, but prizes are not!
Thanx in advance, sorry for my english (poor!)
