i've got a bunch of music dvds that i want to have in CD and on my ipod...

you guys know a good software for converting DVD audio to CD audio or mp3?

I've been recording for several years and am now attempting to build my first DAW. I've got a question regarding how to configure the hard drives.

The motherboard is the ASUS P4c800 E Deluxe

I'll be installing Gigstudio 3 along with Cubase SX3 and various other samples, so I'll need to be able to do DFD.

I know that the issue of dynamics in recent releases has been debated a lot. Although, what I don't quite understand is why DVD-V titles are suffering from this trend as well. Wasn't the whole metADATa concept implemented in order to create more options? It is depressing that I enjoy DVDs from a few years back more than recent releases with their current lack of dynamic range.

I've been looking into how to make DVD-Audio but the only thing I've seen, so far is a program from Sonic Solutions at $6000
Has anyone here seen a program do do this, on a down to earth price?

Here in Brazil people are very excited about the recent release of Rush Live in Rio - DVD.
As a big fan of this group and all the tech stuff behind their production, I also went after my DVD copy. It was released in the USA before arriving Brazil.

I have not seen many people coment on their DVD-Audio stuff.

As far as I know, here in Brazil, only one DVD-Audio was released by a major label.

There is also a collection of "Brazilian Finest" that propably was only released abroad.

What sounds better 16/44.1 CD or 24/48 DVD with ac-3?

I need to transfer 7G of audio from a mac to a PC which would otherwise take up 15 or so CD's because of long files which don't split easily.

Is it possible to burn DVDs on a mac which can then be read by a PC. Will the PC need additional software to read a mac DVD. My mac is compatible with DVD-R. Do PC's generally need DVD+R or is there flexibility?
