Is my SM7b defective?
Hello!
I recently got a Shure SM7b but I suspect it's defective. I've only recorded vocals for one song with it but felt there was something off with the sibilance so I analyzed it with Voxengo Span and noticed that there is a weird dip at 6500 Hz. It looks exactly like if there was an EQ with a very narrow bell with a pretty large decrease in dB at 6500 Hz.
This is an average measurement using Voxengo Span. The audio is completely dry, the SM7b set to flat (i.e. no bass roll off or presence boost).

Defective Monitor? Please Help!
I recently bought a pair of Behringer Truth B2031A Studio Reference monitors, and a pair of TRS 1/4" Balanced cables. I plugged one cable into each monitor's input, and the other ends of the two cables into the left and right main outputs on my Phonic mixer, which is connected to my iMac through firewire.

M-Audio Defective products
Is this true that M-Audio products don't have long? Someone said that they got 10 keyboards and only 1 worked perfectly fine and others were defected. I need to know this since if My BX5a monitors arent that good then probley I should get the Edirol MA-15D since they told me that Edirol and Roland are much better brand and they had no problems.

Shure 16A Condenser Mic
Hi all,
I have a broken Shure 16A condenser mic. Not one of the more common Shures. They only produced it from 1999 to 2002.
It's an okay mic...I think I paid $120 new for it. Shure charges a flat fee of $85 to fix recording mics.
My Question: For this mic, is it worth it? Or should I give it away and use the $85 to buy a new mic?

help, Behringer ADA8000 defective out of box?
I just bought one of these and cant get it to work.
There are LEDs on the front of this unit for each analoge channel that are supposed to light up when there
is an audio signal present (from mic or line) but they don't
light up at all. Would they light up reguardless of the optical cables being attached?
