i'm new to recording, and am using an ALESIS MultiMix 8 firewire mixer and a studioprojects B1 microphone with my laptop. the mixer came with Cubase LE trial software, and when i try to export files to mp3 from Cubase they sound washed out and are very soft, almost like an underwater effect. When i export to wav, they sound much better. any ideas as to why this is?
HI guys i just got the nuendo 3 and its not exporting the sound files... like Broadcast wave or DTS/AC3. i little help needed here..

Since I don't have any sort of drum module, I want to use other software to create a MIDI drum track, and then import it into Cubase (LE). From there I want to be able to lay down other tracks (guitar and whatnot), and then export the whole thing as a .wav.
I use Sonar 4 and a Tascam us122. Windows XP
Im trying to export a song from Sonar in wav form however when i export it then try to play it windows media player says it cant find the codec.
I should add that I have done this hundreds of times without problems. I must have this song done before tomorrow! please help!
Hope this is right forum for this hopefully easy question. - Using Cubase VST24, and wavelab. I have the edit preference on Cubase set up to go to Wavelab with a double click on the audio wave. The problem-- with a composite track (3 or 4 punches), only a section of the wave will export at a time. I have glued the track together.
Does anybody know of a way to export a Sonar project into Pro Tools LE without screwing up the sequence information?
Will I have to export the audio and resequence in Pro Tools?

OK I just tracked a project which ended up running to about 85 tracks before comps and discarding spares'n'extras, but unfortunately those aren't my decision they are those of the US mix engineer who is gonna mix the record before it goes on to mastering. Predictably he is gonna do it in Pro Tools, but I am a Cubase person.

When I export a midi event to an audio one, the audio event seems to be a little shorter than it supposed to be.
the same thing happens even when I bounce an audio event, and I can see it clearly when its in full zoom.
