Has anyone seen this brand before? I came across them on instagram and wondered if anyone had any experience with one of their products. it seems reasonably priced for what they're offering.

Lucid R3-- transparent mic preamp with optional jfet based harmonic drive. As well it has a tuneable high pass(5hz to 1khz), tuneable low pass(20k to 500hz), polarity,phantom power and de-pop circuit.

I was wondering if someone out there can answer what is the difference between a Fet condenser mic and a typical regular condenser. I have both tube and 48v powerd condensers and know about them but very little about FET's.

The Daking FET III Stereo Compressor is new dual channel limiter from Geoff Daking, built in the US with the same audio path and detector circuits as our highly successful single channel Daking FET II limiter. The FET III compressor circuitry and gain stages are all discrete and fully Class "A" with sound quality that will be at the very top of the scale.

Yes, I know that strictly speaking this question belongs in the mic forum, but there appears to be many fewer readers/posters there.

Due to some deal's going on on the ARt pro VLA brought up some questions.



Right now I only have a RNC which I believe is a digital/vca type compressor. I do trackinto a DAw, however I mix in a hybrid fashion of using stems to outboard mixer, and bring it back in for final tweaking/limiting etc.

I am reading about the use of JFET in compressors, and have ended up a bit confused.



Looking at the output characteristic graphs, where is the actual pinch-off point of a JFET?

I'm producing a reggae album and I want a classic 70's sound, defined but not too pristine. I am most likely going to be using a preamp that utilizes MosFet circuitry for tube emulation. My question is... does anyone have any experience with mosfet tube warmth? Or should I just use a valve mic for warming my digital tracks?
