Anyone care to comment on Pros vs cons on the EL- FATSO vs lets say 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch tape for mixdown ?

Hedd FATSO soundclips
Hi Guys
Just stumbled onto this site--look very nice and professional
Does anyone have any soundclip comparisions of these type devices. I hear so much about how they add warmth but even their own site won't offer side by side clips
I would love to hear side by side clips at the same amplitude if anyone has any or knows of a site that has them

STC-8 or FATSO?
I understand these are two different animals.My use will be two tracks into Pro Tools.The reason I am in this predicament is I picked up a used STC-8 from a guitar mart for a good price $2400 got it all hooked up and what do you know the power switch is broke,go figure but after wiggle here wiggle there it came on.I rigged up a Royer to a MP-2NV through this STC-8 into Lucid into the HD system

LA-2A , VT747 or FATSO compressor?
Ok, I am adding another comp to my room and I wanted your opinions. I will be adding the device mainly for character, smoothness and yes I want the "tube sound" for tracking and mixing mostly midi? My options are LA-2A a VT747 a FATSO or maybe even a Peavey VCL2? My budget is just about 2k. I know they are all tube and the LA-2A is just a single channel and a bit more than 2k.

FATSO And Its Compressors!
I currently use an RNC and Crane Song Hedd for tracking my keyboards and Vocals into my DAW. I like the tube and tape emulations on the HEDD for both tracking and mixing. I was wondering if the compressors on the FATSO were pretty useable for tracking and the 2-bus. I'm not too sure is getting a FATSO would be redundant since I have way to warm and fatten things up with the Hedd.
