Fuzzcats mix/song critique before release
New one upbeat hard rock.
New one upbeat hard rock.
I would like some feedback. I just finished an iso room in my studio to track in. I’m a drummer and I will never have the square foot or height to track ambient drums. I’m ok with that and I’m fine with adding room post tracking. I guess the biggest challenge I face is getting the drums sound big enough for hard rock/metal projects.
Hi all,
Please critique my mix:

Its a song I wrote a while ago - I retracked the bass, guitars and vocals, improved the drums and remixed with more experience. What do you think?
Working on a new song idea and would appreciate feedback. The vocals and guitars are a very rough take and can be improved.

Hi guys,
My band recently went back in my small studio for the first time in a year. It turns out that having babies takes out quite a chunk of you spare time...
This one is a straightforward rock/hard rock song. 2 guitars, bass, drums, female vocal. Called More Than Rock n Roll, and featuring banal and narcissitic lyrics.
Think you guys will dig this. Here is my latest track, I did drum production (from client provided MIDI programming), guitar reamping, overall mixing and mastering. I'm really pushing the mix for that live band feel, somewhat imperfect on the whole but vibey. What do you think?

Hello everyone. I'm a sound engineer from Athens, Greece and with my band we started recording our first Album. My band is called Shadow. It's a blend of all the styles from Hard Rock and Metal music and we try to combine it with our own flavor. Is there anyone here how is dealing with that kind of music ?
sometimes the drums do the guitar sound inaudible in some parts specially in hard rock guitar distortion if i up the guitar the drums sound no good
how i balance it? using Sonar x1 in pc recording?
Hello Guys. I would like to ask somethink about recording Hard Rock / Heavy Metal songs.
While in recording process, who much do i have to leave for the mastering and mixing ? I'm working with Hard Rock and Heavy Metal mostly and need to learn more on that.
