Mixing horns with guitar driven blues

Hey Everyone,

I've been playing around with the Horns virtual instrument in Logic again and come up with the attached track. What do people think? Is it a little too busy in places.. (?) I was going for a big-band blues funk kind of vibe.

- I used Bias Amp 2 for guitar amp simulation (I played all parts on a LP 2015 Traditional).

Lavalier for Horn Mic

This is probably a really stupid question but I'm just getting started with this and I have a pretty tight budget. I was curious as to weather I could get away with using a cheap lavalier microphone from Amazon to mic a sax, trumpet, or trombone. Could one of these mics handle this or would it overload the mic as it's not exactly made for that?

HoRNet TrackShaper, mix on autopilot with just one knob

Hi! We have released the new "HoRNet TrackShaper", a "mix on autopilot" utility for those who want to have good sounding tracks without spending hours tweaking plugins.

The TrackShaper is based on the HoRNet ChannelStrip MK2 technology and includes several specific algorithm for different sound sources like: kick drum, snare, acoustic instruments, guitars, etc.

Recording Live now with a horn section

I'm recording a band with a horn section, not too experience with horns especially in a live in the studio scenario

There's an sax, not even sure if it's an alto or tenor and a trombone. I did a rehearsal recording for them and used a 57 on each, it came out pretty well considering drums, electric guitar are blaring away as well.
