I have a friend who is severely deaf, but a sound lecturer in a university - we chatted after watching the Queen's Jubilee concert from Buckingham Palace. We were talking about the huge numbers of wireless channels for microphones, guitars and then the fact that everyone (bar one) of the performers were using IEMs.

I'm shooting some music instructional videos in a residential home basement. Due to problems with mic bleed, I've convinced the subject to wear headphones for listening to himself, and his assistant musician during the shoot as opposed to speakers.

I've started looking into wireless instrument transmitters and IEMs which got me to wondering...
Does someone make a combined instrument/IEM system with a single pack that has both the instrument transmitter and the IEM receiver? Seems to me that would be super convenient.
Well, as I am incredibly tight on cash recently, I really have no means of buying studio monitors for home recording. Thus, I have decided on getting a piece of IEM or Headphones. But even for that, I'm on a budget.
I feel like I'm listening to a vacuum salesman that has the pitch memorized. But hey, well done to him and a cool product. I never stop paying attention to what people are listing with.
Looking at the PSM 900 Wireless Personal Monitor System from Shure,
I'm considering an upgrade for the live sound monitoring system that I run for my jazz and alt. country groups. In another thread Dvdhawk mentioned Hear Back, Aviom, & myMix as distribution systems. I can try out Hear Back locally. It would be helpful if some of you could compare it to some of the other systems.
