I have a firepod at the moment (soon to be profire 2626) and i was thinking of getting 2 preamps with an eq and compressor built into them- the PreSonus eureka and Joemeek 6Q- and connecting them via spdif.

But they would be around 500 euro each. Would it be a better idea to get a digimax fs and have 8 preamps via ADAT then add external hardware to the inserts down the line.

iv been wanting to get a preamp or two for my FP10 for a while now and iv narrowed it down to three. PreSonus eureka, Joemeek 6Q and art pro channel. i picked these because they are in my price range, have the features i need (compressor and EQ) and are available to me.

Ok, i finally have money coming in so i can buy some more recording equipment. Im after selling my Mbox2 so all i have is an sm57 and a stereo pair of t bone em800. I'v decided on getting the PreSonus firepod for the interface but cant decide on if i need a preamp with an eq and compressor or a separate eq and compressor.
