Tascam has a new line of entry level interfaces with drivers that have buffers as small as 4 samples (on Windows)! This is over a USB-C connection.

I'm just mixing down an audio track for a youtube video. What is the maximum db level for each L and R side of the file when normalizing it? It seems that with a mono track you can normalize a higher db.

This might be the scarlett killer! For the cost of a scarlett 2i2 the M2 is spec'd much closer to a clarett. The m2 is about 1/3 the cost of clarett.

I started to test Samplitude and I'm stuck on a feature that I can't find.
Usually I check the record level while recording by watching the track level meters or the meters in the mixer.

I recently bought the RODE VideoMic Pro to couple with my Zoom H1 in order to obtain better and cleaner sound in my videos by recording the person's voice from up top, as close as I can get to the mouth, which is normally around 30-40 cm.

I'm recording guitar with an digitech rp 250 processor and Reaper. When i record the guitar I sometimes need to adjust the gain level of the processor so that Reaper has a max level of about -10. Now let's say I want to add to that same guitar part recording but don't remember the gain level I used. What is the easiest way to make the dynamic levels match up?

I have a question that I hope one of you may be able to "shed some light on".

A-Weighted Sound Level - A measure of sound pressure level designed to reflect the response of the human ear, which does not respond equally to all frequencies, by reducing the effects of the low and high frequencies with respect to the mid-range frequencies. The resultant sound level is said to be A-weighted, and the units are dBA.
